Abilities: Viper is a brilliant and cunning criminal strategist who has been rigorously trained in various martial arts. She is also a skilled markswoman and expert in the use of a bullwhip. Viper is highly skilled in the management of criminal organizations and very well connected in the international criminal underworld. She is also a master of stealth and espionage. Perhaps her greatest strengths are her influence, the financial resources at her disposal due to her stature in organized crime, and an uncanny luck which has allowed her to cheat death in situations where lesser people would have died.
Viper is also extremely knowledgeable in the properties and uses of toxins, poisons, and snake venoms, frequently creating her own poisons that she spreads through her hollow fangs or poisoned lipstick.

What's hidden behind the mask:

Personality: Viper, or Madame HYDRA, is a cold, calculating sociopath. On the surface, it appears as though her only desires are to gain power and extend HYDRA's reach across the globe. It's one of the reasons she recently ascended to her new position as head of HYDRA. Her emotional distance from her fellow humans makes her a perfect terrorist leader.
As strongly as she holds to her ideals (almost obsessively so) she is willing to compromise as long as she can benefit from an arrangement. If she can benefit or if HYDRA can benefit, she would murder her own mother to see it done. That said, she has a nihilistic view on life and puts the needs of HYDRA before her own needs. That attitude has strained a few relationships in her life, namely with her daughter. Not that she's noticed.
She was bred from childhood to have the mind of a soldier, and thus it is almost all she knows. There is part of her that wants to mend fences with her daughter, but she doesn't have the skill set to do it.

History: The woman who would become Viper was orphaned as a child. She was eventually recruited into the terrorist organization called HYDRA, as one of the students of the infamous Hydra recruiter, the Kraken. Instead of seeing it as the end of her free life, she saw it as a chance to make a name for herself. Through hard work and obsessive training, she overcame all other potential agents, earning herself the title of the Viper and a position in Hydra's inner circle. She even caught the attention of the leader at the time, Red Skull.
When she was in her mid-twenties, she had a very out of character affair with an officer a little older than she was. She got pregnant and excused herself to train in Madripoor under the name Miriem Drew in an effort to keep the secret from the officer in question. She acted as a mercenary during her time in Madripoor, learning from a well known adventurer known as Seraph. When she gave birth to her daughter, she raised her personally for a few years before eventually returning home to Germany at the start of the war.
During the war, she ascended to the rank of general and commanded her own troops under the guise of Nazism. At that point, it was still important to send the image of a unified Germany, though she held no love for Hitler. It was Johann Schmidt she was loyal to, and she made sure her troops remembered that. The way she handled disobedience in her ranks, she became one of the most feared heads of HYDRA.
Now that the war is over and Schmidt is presumed dead, she heads the organization that bore her, but her moment of victory wouldn't last. Latveria absorbed Germany, and she was forced to flee. Her base of operations is now located in her home country of Hungary, and she's working to retake Germany as she extends HYDRA's reach across Europe.


Other: The right side of Madame Hydra's face is scarred and disfigured. She disguises her disfigurement by wearing her hair in such a manner as to cover much of the right side of her face. Madame Hydra has elongated sharp canine teeth caps.
