Viper looked at Titania, craning her neck to look up at the tall woman. She was impressive. And, rumor had it, another of Doom's experiments. Because apparently her daughter wasn't enough for him. She did her best to hide her contempt and the smirk that threatened to stretch her lips when Titania had caught onto her veiled threat. Or maybe she hadn't and was just being cautious. Of course she wouldn't just let Doom have an audience to one of Kroenen's surgeries. She would have Kroenen dissect Doom alive. But, that would sour the negotiations.
When she turned her attention back to Lord Doom, she kept her reactions very measured and very calculated. She wasn't willing to gamble anything just yet. She had hopes that they could come to something mutually beneficial, but knowing him and his conditions, he would only think of himself. Nothing else would matter. More than that, she was worried he would ask her to hand over her daughter. She wouldn't stand for that, even if it meant her own life. Her face was cold and guarded as she considered the meeting place. Her thoughts weighed heavily on the pros and cons of such a place, until finally she came to a decision. "This place will be sufficient," she said at last. "My doctor and I will meet you tonight."
She barked her orders to her soldiers that remained standing and approached Kroenen, only now showing the slightest bit of trepidation. "He wants to discuss terms," she muttered to him. "I have reason to believe he means to make them terms of my surrender to Latveria. Clearly I cannot simply surrender. I will need your counsel before tonight."

Being this close to the current head of HYDRA was….. Titania would be polite and call it interesting. She was small, which didn’t really say much since almost everyone was compared to Titania, but she had an intensity to her that befitted more insane people bent on world domination. Her green eye shown with a intelligent malice that matched her name and, for a moment, she wondered if the woman had fangs. While Viper was one to hide her contempt, Titania wasn’t so restrained. “The best way to deal with snakes? A shovel blade to the base of their necks.” Even then, you had to wait an hour or so due to the fact that, despite being separated from the body, the head could still bite. She knew quite a few idiot boys back home who learned that lesson the hard way.
She could easily reach out and grab the woman’s head, giving it a sharp twist before anyone could react. Why Doom didn’t allow her such pleasure was beyond Titania’s understanding. With Viper dead, their opposition would surely fall to the wayside. Not even her freak of physician would be able to stand against the forces of Latveria. So what was it they were going to discuss? One thought that teasingly brushed her mind was an alliance. Surely he would not be such a fool as to agree to that. If that did come to pass, perhaps Titania could talk Loki into causing a little accident for the Madame.
“Yes, that is the proper saying, my lord,” she replied with a nod. “My encounter with the doctor was a learning experience. Should we come to blows a second time, the fight will be over quickly.” She listened as Doom spoke of the meeting place and needing witnesses. She could have pushed the issue once more, expressing her distrust for HYDRA and their people, but doing so in front of them would show weakness, disagreement, and possible instability from within, so Titania kept quiet, her gaze roaming over the landscape in order to keep an eye out for any signs of treachery or deceit. Once they were away from the dangers of being overheard, she would and Doom would talk. Lord Doom was a man of his word, always one to be honorable, so his end of the meeting agreement would likely be kept. However, it was Viper and, more importantly, Kroenen that she did not trust. The chance that they would have hidden agents and soldiers would be a point to bring up. Would she recommend they bring their own extra numbers? No, but Titania would suggest that Lord Doom keep his powers and magic at the ready should he need to defend himself.

As his mistress approached, Kroenen slowly stood more and more at attention until she came upon him. It would not do, after all, to be sloppy. At any point. When she had said what was on her mind, Kroenen looked back at the forms of Doom and his General. He pondered them for a moment before looking down at Madame HYDRA in a slow nod. "Of course, Madame," he rasped, "I am at your disposal." She was rather worn from her battle, it seemed to him, but not injured to the point of requiring care. Even so, he bent down and retrieved his overcoat from the ground and batted it off before setting it around her shoulders, gesturing to the tank. "I shall oversee the completion of retrieval," he said, "If you wish to be off. I shall rendezvous with you. Unless you would rather I accompany you presently."
His head slowly swiveled with a sickening cracking sound as he looked to see how the retrieval of the corpses was proceeding. He was surprised that the HYDRA soldiers had followed his instructions. Indeed, the bodies that were useful were nearly all fully gathered. But he was at Madame HYDRA's whim, and would follow whatever orders she issued. And so he waited, clasping his hands behind his back. Truth be told, he wished he could simply return to his work. And yet, what he had overheard and what Madame HYDRA had said to him, his presence was required tonight, if only to keep Doom's hulking General at bay. He had formulated more than a few notions on how to do just that.

Doom said nothing as he watched Viper walk away toward Dr. Kroenen. His thoughts strayed deeply into his own, and then to those of his General. She did not approve of this. Typical, she was hot-tempered and quicker to smash a foe than to develop an understanding with them. And yet....why not? The thought was not devoid of wisdom. As Doom turned to head back toward the eastern Latverian side, he beckoned that Titania follow him and he spoke softly as he did. "Your thoughts do betray your stoicism on the matter, General," he said, "And yet....I do not find myself in disagreement with them. Tonight, perhaps, all matters shall be settled definitively."
As they continued to walk, Doom looked up at the woman. "I merely had wished to gauge Madame HYDRA's reactions to the line of questioning," he growled, "Her doctor is of little interest to me, outside of perhaps what power keeps him animated. She has great confidence in him, this she has shown. It would be demonstrative to destroy him." Doom turned back to face the village before his eyes began to glow green and he raised both of his hands, which flickered with a perilous light. In an instant, the Latverian soldiers left alive, Doom and Titania, weaponry and provisions all vanished from the field and reappeared in the barracks and walls of Doomstadt. For a moment Doom faltered in the throne room where he and his General only were present, staggering but catching himself on the long table in the center of the room. Transporting that many such a distance was never as simple as his other magics, and occasionally it would fatigue him terribly. After his fight with his great nemesis, this was one such time.

Viper tugged Kroenen's coat around herself to fight of the slight chill in the air and turned to look at him. She didn't say anything at first, but instead turned to look at the progress that was being made at the collection of bodies. The useful corpses were almost all collected. Good. That meant that hopefully she could steal her companion away for a few more hours. "Karl, I'm sorry, but I would prefer that you accompany me now," she said. She turned, whistled, and it wasn't long before a jeep came along and picked her up. She waited with one foot in the car, glancing back at Kroenen. "I know you would like to get back to your work, but if we're going to make it to the rendezvous point by dusk, we have to leave now. The sooner we get there, the sooner we can get this all over with and get back to the base."
She took a seat in the car and ran a hand down her scars, using some of her acidic venom to burn away some of the necrotic flesh she could feel building up again. She winced at the pain, but it had become routine since she had gained more control over her powers. Leaning back, she thought about what kind of course this confrontation with Doom could possibly take, and she decided she didn't like any of them. He would demand her surrender again. He would demand her daughter again. He would demand she leave again. She wouldn't stand for it. She wouldn't give anything without getting anything. And her life wouldn't count. It had to be something tangible. Something worth surrendering for.
